Precision Radiant Heat Shrink Tunnel From American Film & Machinery

September 28, 2015, Brooklyn Park, MN – American Film and Machinery, a leading manufacturer of shrink sleeve and label solutions, introduces the GS Series Radiant Heat Tunnel designed for neck and tamper-evident shrink band applications. The GS Series includes two machine models: the GS-75 and the larger GS-100 heat tunnel. GS Series tunnels are a perfect addition to shrink labeling lines in manufactured goods industries including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, health and beauty, consumer goods, and chemical products.

GS Series Tunnels are designed to be compact and easy-to-operate additions to existing shrink band applications. The GS-75 and GS-100 utilize two temperature control regulators for accurate dual heat bank settings and precise band shrinking. Tunnel temperatures are monitored by an external settings control to ensure proper heat distribution across the tunnel chamber, ensuring a high quality finish on a variety of films including PVC, PETG, OPS, and PLA regardless of container shape.

Designed to work as an integral part of day-to-day packaging operations, the GS Series Tunnels feature a modular design and can be easily mounted to an existing conveyor frame, doing away with the need for a cumbersome floor stand. Each system is design with rugged stainless steel, and the compact 23” chamber eliminates the need for lengthy conveyor space. Installation can be completed in minutes using standard tools to be up and running, saving money and increasing ROI.

The GS-75 utilizes a 75mm x 100mm opening to accommodate a number of neck and TE band applications, while the GS-100 has a slightly larger container opening of 100mm x 150mm. Both machines have a maximum temperature of 482°F and feature high quality infrared heating elements and a powerful blower for uniform heat distribution.

The GS Series tunnels are available now through AFM’s worldwide network of authorized distributors. Sales inquiries should be directed to Joshua Nelson, AFM, 1521A Pomona Road, Corona, CA. 1-800-877-5658. jnelson@engagetechnologies.net
